摘要: The present invention describes a method and system for local mobility management in which the mobility management taking place inside the mobile agent (MA) domain is hidden from the home agent (HA) and correspondent node (CN). In the method the mobile agent (MA) prefix information is broadcast over the air interface. An access router is implemented in the cellular access node (CAN). The cellular access node (CAN) also comprises a cellular access point (CAP). Proxy functionality is arranged to the cellular access point (CAP). Binding entries are created to the mobile agent (MA) so that only basic mobile IPv6 needs to be supported in the mobile node (MN).

摘要: The invention relates to ATM systems, and particularly to mobility and call control management therein. A wireless ATM network comprises at least on ATM switch, and base stations connected to the ATM switch by a user-network-interface interface. In addition, at least one controlling network element of a conventional PLMN network, such as a mobile telephone exchange or a base station controller, which is responsible for the mobility management and call control, is connected to the ATM network by the UNI interface. A permanent virtual channel is provided between the base station and the controlling PLM element for PLM-specific signalling (signalling related to, for example, call control, mobility management or radio resource management). The ATM switch therebetween forwards the signalling without interpreting it in any way. The PLMN element remotely controls the ATM switch to switch a virtual connection between the base station and another point according to the ATM standards.

摘要: The present invention relates to a relocation method, system and network element for changing a serving radio resource control entity After an initial operating state in which a user equipment (30) has radio links with a serving network element (20) and a drift network element (21) supporting said serving network element (20) with a wireless connection, the serving network element (20) transmits a relocation-specific information to a target network element (22). Based on the relocation-specific information, the target network element (22) establishes a link to the drift network element (21), such that the drift network element (21) can receive user traffic from both the serving network element (20) and the target network element (20). Then, the radio resource control is relocated to the target network element (20). The relocation-specific information may comprise an identifier or a list of identifiers of drift network elements. Thus, existing soft handover techniques can be enhanced by allowing a user plane connection to be maintained with drift network elements. Thereby, any amount of drift network elements can be kept, with improved radio performance as a consequence.
