摘要： An inkjet apparatus having a liquid container configured to contain liquid, a conduit configured to discharge gas in a first space where an inkjet head is placed into the liquid contained in the liquid container, and a pump configured to discharge the gas from a second space over the surface of the liquid in the liquid container is provided. If the pump is operated, the second space is placed in a reduced pressure condition as compared to the first space, and the gas in the first space is discharged into the liquid through the conduit, thereby becomes bubbles, and floats up.

摘要： In a prior art slim-type high speed rotation optical disk apparatus, the side wall of the bottom chassis is bent at a bending point toward the side of the optical disk according to the configuration of the corner air window section of the chassis. According to the present invention, this bent side wall is formed so as to have a first vertical wall which is adjacent to the bending point and a second vertical wall which is adjacent to and lower than the first vertical wall. This constitutes an L-shaped vertical wall in the air window section of the bottom chassis, resulting in reduced noise.

As compared with conventional ones, a brake pad is located near to the front end so that the brake pad comes into tight contact with a side of the tray's front portion when the tray is inserted. 摘要： A disc drive apparatus comprises: a spindle motor 20 for hold a disc 2 and for rotate it; an optical head 7 for conducting either one of recording or reproducing of information onto/from the disc; a driver unit for moving the optical head in a radial direction of the disc; and a unit mechanism chassis 8 for supporting those thereon, fixedly, wherein the spindle motor is constructed with a rotational drive means made of a magnetic circuit, a rotor portion and a rotation shaft, which define a rotation body, and a spindle motor attachment plate to hold those thereon, and the spindle motor attachment plate has a semi-circular shaped plate configuration in a part thereof, nearly fitting to an outer diameter the rotor portion, in a direction where the optical head is provided, and has a step-like structure in thickness direction of the plate thereof, within a semi-circular shaped region with respect to a line connecting between corner portions on both ends of that semi-circular shape, and also bridging over that line.

The compression spring unit serves as an opening and closing mechanism for the image reading unit. The braking unit brakes the opening and closing movement of the image reading unit. 摘要： An ink jet recording apparatus is provided with a recording function to record images on a sheet material by installing an ink jet recording head that discharges ink from the ink discharge ports, and also, with an image reading function to read images from a sheet material by installing an image reading head exchangeably. This apparatus includes the discharge port surface of the ink jet recording head having the ink discharge ports formed on it, the image reading surface of the image reading head to read images to this head from the image reading surface, and a member that abuts upon the ink discharge port surface arranged to be in contact with the ink discharge port surface of the ink jet recording head. This member is arranged so as not to be in contact with the image reading surface of the image reading head. Thus the image reading surface of the image reading head is prevented from being stained by ink. Also, this apparatus can be made smaller with a simple structure to provide both reading and recording functions.

摘要： A printing apparatus includes traveling means for traveling in the recording directions by holding it for recording on a recording medium, guiding means for guiding the traveling means, and reading means detachably held by the guiding means. This printing apparatus further includes electrical connectors provided for the reading means and printing apparatus, respectively, for electrically connecting them, which are arranged to be installed or removed simultaneously by the operation of mounting the reading means on or demounting it from the guiding means, and also, detecting means for detecting a state of the reading means being mounted on the printing apparatus, controlling means for holding the power-supply to the traveling means and recovery means for recovering the performance of the recording means in a state of being cut off in accordance with the detection of the detecting means when the reading means is mounted on the printing apparatus. With such structure, it is possible to mount a reading unit in the interior of the printing apparatus easily without removing recording means, and at the same time, to prevent the reading unit from being stained by recovery means for recovering the performance of recording means.

摘要： An optical disc apparatus, presenting recording quality without degradation by an extreme temperature rise in an objective-lens drive mechanism in an optical pickup, includes a mechanical chassis on which a disc rotation mechanism, an optical pickup, and a transfer mechanism are mounted, a decorative plate that is a plate-shaped member located between the disc and the optical pickup and fixed on the mechanical chassis, a disc tray for loading and removing the disc, a circuit board for operation control, and an apparatus housing containing the components. A recess is formed in an indented shape in a portion of the mechanical chassis facing an outer peripheral region of the disc recording surface. An incline is formed in a position close to an opening of the disc tray for mounting the mechanical chassis and opposite the outer peripheral region of the disc recording surface, and slopes gently down to the recess.
