摘要： There is provided a system for remote monitoring a plurality of security systems connected to the Internet, the security systems being assigned dynamic IP addresses, each of the security systems comprising a remote monitoring server module, the system comprising a central alarm monitoring service connected to the Internet for periodically communicating with the plurality of security systems and determining a status thereof to generate an alarm signal as a function of the status, the alarm monitoring service storing a current IP address of the plurality of security systems in an IP address database, and a remote monitoring gateway providing authenticated or unauthenticated dynamic domain name service (DDNS) server functionality to connect a given remote monitoring client to a desired one of the security systems, the gateway being connected to the IP address database and to the Internet. There is further provided a method of remote monitoring a security system.

摘要： A security system user interface comprising a graphical display, a communication link, a memory, and a display controller. The communication link receives detector unit status data from detector units located at selected location on the premises protected by the security system. The memory stores floor plan diagram data and detector unit location data. Finally, the display controller generates a modified view of at least a portion of the floor plan diagram data in accordance with the detector unit status data to indicate the status data, and displaying the modified view on the graphical display. The invention also provides, in combination, a user interface and a user programming interface for transmitting the floor plan diagram data and the detector unit location data to the communications interface of the user interface.

摘要： A security system user interface comprising a graphical display, a communication link, a memory, a camera and a display controller. The camera image is converted for display on the graphical display, the latter being used for security system control and viewing the camera image. The interface is best located near an entrance inside a secured premises, while the camera is arranged to monitor visitors outside the secured premises at the entrance. The camera can be connected directly to the user interface or indirectly using a data communications link of the security system interconnecting security detectors to a control panel.
