摘要:
An optical fiber display apparatus comprises a display panel, and a plurality of optical fibers, one end of each being optically connected to a light source, and the other end thereof being implanted in the panel from one surface side thereof, so that the end face thereof is exposed at the other surface of the panel. A fixing device is used for implanting of the fibers, and includes a sleeve detachably inserted and held in a through hole formed in the panel, and a ferrule detachably inserted in the sleeve from a side of one end thereof and held therein, the other end of each of the fibers being received and fixed in the ferrule. A second ferrule may be detachably inserted in the sleeve from a side of the other end thereof, to be thus suspended from the other surface of the panel. One end of a decorative optical fiber is received and fixed in the second ferrule to be thus suspended from the display panel. Preferably, the decorative fiber comprises a core, and a cladding surrounding the core, a plurality of cone-shaped openings being discretely formed in the surface thereof so that light conducted in the core is allowed to partially leak out of the cone-shaped openings, whereby the decorative effect is increased.

In a coil system for an NMR spectrometer probe, a coil is wound around a cylindrical volume for containing the sample. The coil is used for producing an RF magnetic field in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the cylindrical volume. Leads from the coil connect it to an external circuit for executing the coil. Two leads are arranged to overlap each other adjacent the cylindrical volume with a dielectric substance sandwiched therebetween. The disclosed coil structure lowers inductance, raises Q value and enables higher tuning frequencies, enhances signal to noise ratios and sensitivity.

A nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus incorporating a first trans-receiver coil, an internal lock coil, a decoupling coil, means for tuning said coils to desired frequencies, a first trans-receiving system for supplying the first trans-receiver coil with a first nuclear (such as .sup.1 H) resonance RF wave and detecting the first nuclear resonance F.I.D. signal, a second trans-receiving system for supplying the first trans-receiving coil with a second nuclear (such as .sup.13 C) resonance RF wave and detecting the second nuclear resonance F.I.D. (Free Inductance Decay) signal, a third trans-receiving system for supplying the internal lock coil with a third nuclear (such as .sup.2 D) resonance RF wave and detecting the third nuclear resonance signal, and a transmission system for supplying the first nuclear resonance RF wave to the decoupling coil, it being possible in said apparatus to observe different types of nucleus, viz; .sup.1 H and .sup.13 C without removing the internal lock by employing a third nucleus such as .sup.2 D so that the first and second nuclear spectrum can be observed at high resolution by first nuclear decoupling.
