Abstract: A portable electronic device includes call circuitry operative to establish a call with another contact over a communication network, a contact list stored in memory of the electronic device, said contact list including contact information; and logic circuitry operative to capture at least a portion of new contact information during a call with the contact, wherein the new contact information can be obtained via the communication network. The logic circuit automatically enters the new contact information into the contact list during or after the call.
