摘要： A concept for providing hierarchical navigation information relative to one or more databases within a distributed computer system is described. In one aspect, this includes a process for hierarchically organizing bodies of information that includes: receiving a query from a user, abstracting a list of descriptors from one or more sources of information selected based on the query, organizing the list according to an hierarchy of nodes referenced in the one or more sources of information and providing information configured to facilitate displaying a graphical user interface illustrating the hierarchy and having user programmable server control classes for accession of nodes in the hierarchy.

摘要： A declarative model for specifying appropriate transformations that may occur at the input and output of each service of a sequence of services that accomplish a more complex task. Each of the services may have access to the appropriate transformation declarations, and may interpret the declarations to thereby be appropriate directed on transforms to occur in its input data and/or output data. In order to change a transformation, the transformation declaration may be altered.

摘要： Web pages may be dynamically generated in response to a web request from a client. The web request specifies a dynamic content resource that declares one or more server-side controls having personalizable properties. Personalization refers to the ability for server-side controls to save property values to persistent storage and is not necessarily limited to a user-specific data management. Personalization also refers to retrieving the property values from persistent storage when the server-side controls are instantiated in order to dynamically generate the web page reflecting the persistent personalization data. The personalized property values may also be output with the HTML data of the resulting page and sent to the client for display.
