摘要： A rollover protection system for motor vehicles with a roll bar, which can be moved by a drive unit from a position of rest to a protection position, is secured in the protection position by a locking device and prevented from retracting, and is fixed in the position of rest by a holding device, wherein the holding device has a movably arranged catch element which can be disengaged abruptly by a pyrotechnic actuator. For such cases in which the catch element can move beyond the release point and there is a danger of a rebounding, because a path-limiting stop is present, a structural part is provided that prevents a return movement of the catch element into the holding position.

摘要： Systems of this kind typically are equipped with a roll bar (1) mounted within a cassette-like housing (7) which can be firmly attached to the vehicle and has two U-shaped lateral parts (8, 9) which are linked to one another at the bottom by a bottom part (10) and at the top, by a guide block (11). In order to ensure small assembly dimensions while at the same time offering a low-cost connection method, the invention provides a connection of the guide block (11) to the U-shaped lateral parts (8, 9) in the shape of a form-fit connection (8a, 11a).

The catch element can swivel at the point of the structural part fixed to the vehicle and is abruptly accelerated clockwise by the pyrotechnical actuator.
