摘要： A circular saw including a lower bladeguard which is retractable by a remotely operated mechanism. This mechanism includes a lever which is pivotally mounted adjacent an auxiliary handle for the saw. The operator may retract the lower bladeguard by depressing the lever with the operator's left thumb while continuing to grip the auxiliary handle.
