Abstract: A flash X-ray tube having two electrodes, each electrode being provided with means for effecting autoelectronic emission adapted to bring about emanation of X-rays, respectively, from the other one of the two electrodes. The electrodes are so constructed and arranged in the tube that they ensure emanation of X-rays in a specified direction.
