摘要: Provided herein are HIV-1 vaccines comprising a carrier and a population episensus antigen determined using the EpiGraph approach. Also provided are HIV-1 vaccines comprising a carrier, a population episensus antigen, and a tailored antigen. Also provided are methods of designing and producing an HIV-1 vaccine for a subject comprising designing vaccine antigens to optimally cover the diversity within a geographic area using an antigen amino acid sequence generated using the EpiGraph approach, and producing said designed vaccine antigen. Also provided are methods of inducing an effector memory T cell response comprising designing the one or more EpiGraph amino acid sequences, producing a vaccine comprising the one or more EpiGraph amino acid sequences and a vector, and administering the vaccine to a subject. Further provided are methods of treating HIV-1 in a subject comprising administering an effective amount of the described HIV-1 vaccines to the subject in need thereof.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for processing time series of noisy images of a same area, the method comprising: generating a set of time series of images from an input image time series by combining by first linear combinations each pixel of each image of the input image time series with selected neighboring pixels in the image and in an adjacent image of the input image time series; applying filtering operations in cascade to the set, each filtering operation combining each pixel of each image of each time series of the set by second linear combinations with selected neighboring pixels in the image and in an adjacent image in each time series of the set; performing an image combination operation to reduce each time series of the set to a single image; introducing a model image of the area as a filtered image in the set; and combining each image in the set into an output image, by third linear combinations.

摘要: Microwave ignition systems with a launcher affixed to or located within a gun spindle. Use of a planar, impedance matched system that include a launcher affixed to or located within a gun spindle and a receiver affixed the propelling charge, where the receiver is engineered and impedance matched to efficiently deposit energy into the receiving igniter material, may result in significantly better timing and reliability than conventional mechanical gun ignition systems and other microwave ignition systems. A pressure-tolerant feed through system can route the microwave energy to the inside of the breech.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure include swellable smart gel sealants and methods of using smart gel sealants. In certain embodiments, the smart gel sealants reversibly swell when exposed to a certain trigger, such as temperature or pH. In specific embodiments, the smart gel is disposed within voids in a well and triggered to swell in order to seal the voids. One application of the smart gel sealant is to seal the casing of a well against the leakage of gas, such as H2S.

摘要: Techniques for using additive manufacturing (AM) to fabricate creep resistant ferritic/martensitic steel with improved high temperature strength are described. AM processing may be performed on Grade 91 steel powder. Beam powers from about 221 W to about 270 W may be used. Traverse rates from about 675 mm/s to about 825 mm/s may be used. Heat inputs ranging from about 55.7 J/mm3 to about 83.2 J/mm3 may be produced. Creep resistant ferritic/martensitic steel, produced according to the present disclosure, has improved strain yield strength and ductility as compared to wrought steel.

摘要: Combinations of multiple analytic techniques may be used to identify changes to a structure based on changes in characteristics of acoustic signals traveling along the structure. Acoustic signals traveling along the structure may be monitored to detect changes in characteristics of the acoustic signal from baseline signal characteristics. The changes in characteristics of the acoustic signals may be processed using multiple analytic techniques to provide analyses of the change in time-domain, in frequency-domain, and in mixed time-frequency-domain. The change to the structure may be identified based on a combination of the results of the analysis in time-domain, in frequency-domain, and in mixed time-frequency-domain.

摘要: Processes for tailoring the macroscopic shape, metallic composition, mechanical properties, and pore structure of nanoporous metal foams prepared through combustion synthesis via direct write 3D printing of metal energetic ligand precursor inks made with water and an organic thickening agent are disclosed. Such processes enable production of never before obtainable metal structures with hierarchical porosity, tailorable from the millimeter size regime to the nanometer size regime. Structures produced by these processes have numerous applications including, but not limited to, catalysts, heat exchangers, low density structural materials, biomedical implants, hydrogen storage medium, fuel cells, and batteries.

摘要: A multi-frequency signal may be used to induce voltage difference across a portion of a pipe. The voltage difference may be induced to take multi-frequency measurement of impedance characteristics of fluid inside the pipe. The multi-frequency measurement of the impedance characteristic of the fluid inside the pipe may be used to determine a characteristic of the fluid inside the pipe. This may be achieved by active integration of experimental data with high-resolution multi-frequency electrical impedance tomography (MFEIT) modeling.

These printed products can be made using a 3-D printer and can be made from a single printable composition without the need to add different structural components during the production process. Also disclosed herein are embodiments of a method for making and using a printed product.
