Also disclosed are a skin cleansing composition and a cosmetic composition containing the resin powder, and a preparation process of the resin powder.
Abstract:
An image-fixing method for heat-fixing a toner image, by feeding an transfer medium carrying the toner image between a heating unit heated by an induction-heating process and a pressurizing unit placed to press against the heating unit, wherein the electric resistivity at least of the outermost layer of the heating unit is 10−7 Ωm or more and less than 10−2 Ωm, and the toner image is formed by using a toner containing an amorphous resin having an ionic concentration in the range of 10−5 to 10−3 mole/g as the binder resin.
Abstract:
Anti-bacterial composite particles which comprise a polymer base material comprising a thermal melting polymer, such as a polyolefine, exhibiting good dispersibility in a basic material resin and having a lower molecular weight or a lower softening point than that of the basic material resin, and inorganic fine particles comprising a metal having anti-bacterial activity carried thereon. An antibacterial resin composition can be prepared by melting and kneading a synthetic resin composition as the basic material resin together with the anti-bacterial composite particles and forming by known molding methods such as extrusion molding and injection molding, and can be used for producing various synthetic resin moldings which have an inorganic anti-bacterial agent uniformly dispersed in a synthetic resin composition and thus exhibits good anti-bacterial effect.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a toner comprising a binder resin, a coloring agent, and, as a lubricant, a polyethylene wax having a penetration of 5 to 12 dmm and a melt viscosity of less than or equal to 1.5 at 130° C., a process for the preparation thereof, a developer using the toner, and a method of forming images using the toner. According to the present invention, incomplete images in the transfer process can be prevented; excellent flowability is provided and the blocking phenomenon can be prevented; the transfer process can be carried out with less electric consumption. The offset resistance is also good, and the releasability is effectively exhibited at lower temperatures.
Abstract:
A toner for developing electrostatic latent images containing a binder resin, a colorant, and a lubricant, wherein the lubricant comprises a modified polyethylene wax which is obtained by homopolymerizing ethylene or copolymerizing ethylene and an .alpha.-olefin having 3 to 10 carbon atoms in the presence of a metallocene catalyst and modifying the resulting homo- or copolymer by grafting thereto a styrene monomer and/or an unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, the lubricant having a hexane extraction of not more than 65% by weight. The toner exhibits release properties at a lower temperature and thereby has satisfactory anti-offset properties without impairing powder fluidity and anti-blocking properties. It provides a toner image resistant against scratches by a peeling claw of a fixing roll part and against rub-of.
Abstract:
A dry toner for developing an electrostatic latent image comprising toner particles and fine particles of a lubricant coated with an inorganic compound fine powder and an image formation method using the same. The toner is excellent in fluidity, cleaning properties, stability with environmental changes, and durability.
Abstract:
A dry developer for an electrophotographic process, said dry developer being composed of a toner and a dispersion type carrier composed of a resin and a magnetic powder, wherein polyethylene having a molecular weight of not larger than 10,000, a density of at least 0.95, and an average volume diameter of not larger than 15 .mu.m is externally added to the toner or directly mixed with the developer. The dry developer shows good fluidity and cleaning property, is excellent in environmental stability and durability, and can prevent the occurrence of the toner film phenomenon on a photoreceptor or carrier surfaces.
Abstract:
A carrier for a developer comprising a core material coated with a coating material consisting essentially of a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and trifluoroethylene or hexafluoropropylene is disclosed. The carrier causes neither fog generation in the initial stage of running nor contamination of a developing machine because of its high rate of charge increase and satisfactory resistance to surface contamination, and exhibits excellent adhesion between the core material and the coating material.
Abstract:
A developer for an electrostatic latent image is described, which comprises a toner powder and a fine powder having a particle size smaller than that of the toner powder, said fine powder being made of a polymer obtained by soap-free emulsion polymerization.
