    摘要: The present invention relates to an inorganic antibacterial agent comprising a thermoplastic resin and inorganic antibacterial particles dispersed in the resin, and a shape factor SF2 defined by the following formula: SF2=100πL2/(4A) (Wherein L represents a perimeter of a plane image of a particle which is obtained from observation of a slice for inorganic antibacterial agent using a transmission electron microscope, and A represents the area of the plane image.) is not more than 200, and the existing ratio defined by the following formula: Existing ratio (%)=100×(number of inorganic antibacterial particles having SF2 of not more than 200)/(number of particles used for calculation of SF2) is not less than 80%. According to the present invention, when the inorganic antibacterial agent is dispersed in the antibacterial molded resin product, the dispersion of inorganic antibacterial agent is improved since inorganic antibacterial particles are dispersed in the thermoplastic resin. Moreover, inorganic antibacterial particles are dispersed homogeneously in the base resin since the occurrence of agglomeration and localization are well prevented in the thermoplastic resin.

    摘要: Anti-bacterial composite particles which comprise a polymer base material comprising a thermal melting polymer, such as a polyolefine, exhibiting good dispersibility in a basic material resin and having a lower molecular weight or a lower softening point than that of the basic material resin, and inorganic fine particles comprising a metal having anti-bacterial activity carried thereon. An antibacterial resin composition can be prepared by melting and kneading a synthetic resin composition as the basic material resin together with the anti-bacterial composite particles and forming by known molding methods such as extrusion molding and injection molding, and can be used for producing various synthetic resin moldings which have an inorganic anti-bacterial agent uniformly dispersed in a synthetic resin composition and thus exhibits good anti-bacterial effect.

    摘要: A developer carrier is disclosed, which has a core containing a binder resin and a magnetic powder, and a surface layer thereon containing a compound having a lower critical surface tension than the binder resin. This developer when used in a magnetic brush development process provides superior charge characteristics, resistance to environmental changes, and extended life. In another aspect, the invention relates to a developer carrier produced by a process of (a) melting a carrier composition containing a binder resin, a magnetic powder and a compound having a lower critical surface tension than the binder resin, (b) spraying the molten carrier composition to form droplets, and (c) cooling the droplets with a gas stream having a temperature lower than the melting point of the composition to form substantially spherical particles having a high surface smoothness.

    摘要: A process for producing a developer carrier is disclosed, which comprises heating a carrier composition containing a resin, magnetic particles and a compound having a lower critical surface energy than the resin, to produce a carrier particle having a higher surface concentration of the compound having a lower critical surface energy. A developer carrier having an average particle size of at least about 50 .mu.m and containing a fluorine-containing compound and fine magnetic particles dispersed in a binder resin is also disclosed. The developer carriers according to the invention when used in magnetic brush development provide superior charge generation, extended life and improved image reproduction.
