摘要： A recording and/or reproducing method for a record medium, includes the steps of reading address information from a record medium having at least a first area and a second area, with data being recordable to the first area, and the second area being followed by the first area, the address information representing the position of the second area; detecting an error corresponding to an error detection code encoded for the address information that has been from the record medium; and, when the result of the detecting step represents that an error has been detected in the address information that has been read from the record medium, notifying at least one user that an error has been detected.
