摘要: An ad in a movie can be a static ad having a position in the movie that cannot be moved, or a dynamic ad having a position in the movie that can be changed. When a viewer wishes to skip a portion of the movie containing the ad, the playback system determines whether the ad is static or dynamic. If the ad is static, only the portion of the movie preceding the static ad can be skipped; the ad is unskippable. This technique is referred to as “bounceback” since the end of the skip bounces back to the start of the static ad. If the ad is dynamic, it is moved to after the end of the skip. This technique is referred to as “slip-ad” since the ad slips to later in the movie. When a movie has multiple ads, some can be static and some can be dynamic.

摘要: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium display a video with a set of tags selectively overlaid on the video. The method causes a display device to display a sequence of video frames. The video depicts a plurality of visually perceptible items, and the video frames as displayed do not include any tags, thereby depicting the video in a tagless mode. The method also receives a signal requesting that the video be displayed in a tag mode. In response to receipt of said signal, the method overlays one or more visually perceptible tags on the video frames at specified positions, thereby causing the display device to display the video in a tag mode. Each of the overlaid tags is associated with at least one respective visually perceptible item appearing in the video.

摘要: A video identifier uniquely identifying a video captured by a camera is generated. The video includes video frames and optionally concurrently captured audio as well as video metadata describing the video. Video data is extracted from at least two of the video's frames. By combining the extracted video data in an order specified by an identifier generation protocol, an extracted data object is generated. The extracted data object is hashed to generate the unique media identifier, which is stored in association with the video. The identifier generation protocol may indicate the portions of the video data to extract, such as video data corresponding to particular video frames and audio data corresponding to particular audio samples. The extracted data object may include a size of particular video frames, a number of audio samples in the video, or the duration of the video, for example.

摘要: In various implementations, modifications and/or additions to the ISOBMFF are provided to process video data. A plurality of sub-picture bitstreams are obtained from memory, each sub-picture bitstream including a spatial portion of the video data and each sub-picture bitstream being independently coded. In at least one file, the plurality of sub-picture bitstreams are respectively stored as a plurality of sub-picture tracks. Metadata describing the plurality of sub-picture tracks is stored in a track box within a media file in accordance with a file format. A sub-picture base track is provided that includes the metadata describing the plurality of sub-picture tracks.

摘要: A multimedia file and methods of generating, distributing and using the multimedia file are described. Multimedia files in accordance with embodiments of the present invention can contain multiple video tracks, multiple audio tracks, multiple subtitle tracks, a complete index that can be used to locate each data chunk in each of these tracks and an abridged index that can enable the location of a subset of the data chunks in each track, data that can be used to generate a menu interface to access the contents of the file and ‘meta data’ concerning the contents of the file. Multimedia files in accordance with several embodiments of the present invention also include references to video tracks, audio tracks, subtitle tracks and ‘meta data’ external to the file. One embodiment of a multimedia file in accordance with the present invention includes a series of encoded video frames, a first index that includes information indicative of the location within the file and characteristics of each encoded video frame and a separate second index that includes information indicative of the location within the file of a subset of the encoded video frames.

摘要: This disclosure describes techniques relevant to HTTP streaming of media data. According to these techniques, a server device may signal an open decoding refresh (ODR) random access point (RAP) for a movie segmentation of a movie representation. At least one frame of the media segmentation following the ODR RAP frame in decoding order may not be correctly decoded, and wherein each frame of the media segmentation following the ODR RAP frame in display order can be correctly decoded without relying on content of frames prior to the ODR RAP in display order. According to the techniques of this disclosure, a client device may communicate a request to a server device for the streaming of media data based on signaling of the ODR RAP. Also according to the techniques of this disclosure, a client device may commence decoding and/or playback of the movie representation based on signaling of the ODR RAP.
