Abstract:
A slider lock mechanism for locking a slider slidable along a chassis to set a plurality of modes in a tape player comprises a slider drive unit for transmitting a rotational force of a motor to the slider via a plurality of disc gears for moving the slider; spring biasing means for biasing the slider to return when the slider reaches a pressure contact position; and a braking mechanism including an electromagnetic actuator for braking one of the disc gears by energization of the electromagnetic actuator in the pressure contact position.
Abstract:
A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a magnetic tape cassette has a back-tension arm pivotably mounted on a mechanical chassis of the apparatus and an actuator mechanism for releasing braking force applied on a pair of tape reel bases by a pair of braking arms while a magnetic tape is run at a high-speed speed. The actuator mechanism includes an axially sliding connector rod engaging with a slider through which said back-tension arm is actuated according to movement of the connector rod, whereby the back-tension arm may apply light friction to the take-up reel base in a reverse running mode in which the magnetic tape is fed from the take-up reel to the supply reel by rotation of a capstan and pinch roller at a relatively slow speed. This causes slack in the magnetic tape to prevent when the tape is started in the reverse running mode.
Abstract:
To enable simple and accurate positional adjustment of the various tape loading and driving elements of a cassette tape recorder and/or reproducer, a single mode changing slider controls respective displacements of movable members of a reel base driving mechanism, a pinch-roller transferring mechanism, a brake operating mechanism, a back-tension exerting mechanism, a tape loading mechanism and so forth, which displacements are required whenever an optional mode of the apparatus is selected.
