Abstract:
A signal transmission system has a modulation signal converter 1 that generates a modulation signal using a Manchester code with a duty ratio of 50% in accordance with transmission data; a clock generator 6 that generates a clock with the amount of delay with respect to the rising or falling edge of the modulation signal; and a data detector 5 that generates received data by sampling the modulation signal in synchronization with the clock. Since the modulation signal converter 1 generates the modulation signal by combining the Manchester code with the duty ratio of 50%, its duty ratio is always 50% independently of the transmission data, thereby preventing the DC offset of the modulation signal on the receiving side. Accordingly, it offers an advantage of achieving good communication quality with a simple circuit configuration without producing the DC offset in the modulation signal on the receiving side.

A two-terminal semiconductor device is formed on a semiconductor substrate. Two wiring patterns are respectively connected to terminals of the semiconductor device, and two electrode pads are respectively connected to the wiring patterns for connecting a signal input/output circuit formed on a separate substrate. Two parallel wiring patterns are respectively connected to the wiring patterns, and two reactance-circuit connection electrode pads are respectively connected to the parallel wiring patterns for electrically connecting a reactance circuit formed on the separate substrate separately from the signal input/output circuit.

Abstract:
A probe having a sufficient height is manufactured by selectively depositing, over the main surface of a wafer, a copper film in a region in which a metal film is to be formed and a region which will be outside an adhesion ring when a probe card is fabricated; forming the metal film, polyimide film, interconnect, another polyimide film, another interconnect and a further polyimide film; and then removing the wafer and copper film. According to the present invention, when probe testing is performed using a prober (thin film probe) having the probe formed in the above-described manner while utilizing the manufacturing technology of semiconductor integrated circuit devices, it is possible to prevent breakage of the prober and a wafer to be tested.

An output terminal 6 is provided at the connecting point 5 between the collector terminal of a transistor 1 and an open-ended stub 4 by connecting the open-ended stub 4 to the collector terminal of the transistor 1, the open-ended stub 4 having a line length equal to a quarter of the wavelength of a signal of frequency 2N·F0 or 2N times the oscillation frequency F0. In addition, an output terminal 9 is provided at a connecting point 8 located at a distance equal to a quarter of the wavelength of a signal of oscillation frequency F0 from the end of an open-ended stub 7 by connecting the open-ended stub 7 to the base terminal of the transistor 1, the open-ended stub 7 having a line length longer than a quarter of the wavelength of the signal of oscillation frequency F0.
Abstract:
In the highly accurate thin film probe sheet which is used for the contact to electrode pads disposed in high density with narrow pitches resulting from the increase in integration degree of semiconductor chips and for the inspection of semiconductor chips, a large spatial region in which a metal film selectively removable relative to terminal metal is formed in advance is formed in the peripheral region around minute contact terminals having sharp tips and disposed in high density with narrow pitches equivalent to those of the electrode pads. Thus, occurrence of damage in an inspection process is significantly reduced, and an inspection device simultaneously achieving the miniaturization and the durability can be provided.
Abstract:
A cleaning device for a recording and/or reproducing apparatus including a rotary head device having a drum carrying a magnetic head, with a magnetic tape being used as a recording medium. The cleaning device includes a cleaning member abutted against the magnetic head of the rotary head device for cleaning the magnetic head and an actuating mechanism for causing the cleaning member to be abutted against the magnetic head in the rotating state of the rotary head device. The actuating mechanism causes the cleaning member to be abutted against the magnetic head in the rotating state of the rotary drum prior to the loading of the magnetic tape on the rotary head device by the tape loading mechanism, and releases abutment of the cleaning member against the magnetic head when loading the magnetic tape by the tape loading mechanism on the rotary head device. The magnetic head is cleaned each time the magnetic tape is loaded.
Abstract:
The detector comprises a first distributor for distributing a signal wave, a 45 degree shifter for shifting a local oscillation, a first even harmonic mixer and a second even harmonic mixer for generating a mixed wave between a double frequency wave of said local oscillation wave and said signal wave. The present invention can be used for increasing the accuracy and downsizing of quadrature mixer used in a receiving transmitting apparatus of a wireless communication system.
Abstract:
A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a magnetic tape cassette has a back-tension arm pivotably mounted on a mechanical chassis of the apparatus and an actuator mechanism for releasing braking force applied on a pair of tape reel bases by a pair of braking arms while a magnetic tape is run at a high-speed speed. The actuator mechanism includes an axially sliding connector rod engaging with a slider through which said back-tension arm is actuated according to movement of the connector rod, whereby the back-tension arm may apply light friction to the take-up reel base in a reverse running mode in which the magnetic tape is fed from the take-up reel to the supply reel by rotation of a capstan and pinch roller at a relatively slow speed. This causes slack in the magnetic tape to prevent when the tape is started in the reverse running mode.
