    摘要: The present invention includes a bearing fixing structure for fixing a bearing in position relative to a resin housing. The bearing is fitted into an inner circumference of the housing. The structure includes an annular holding member and an engaging device. The holding member is press-fitted into the inner circumference of the housing so as to hold the bearing from one side with respect to an axial direction of the housing for preventing the bearing from being removed from the housing. The engaging device engages an outer circumferential face of the holding member with the inner circumference of the housing with respect to the axial direction of the housing.

    摘要: A common rail housing for a common rail injection system is composed of a pressure accumulation pipe whose outer circumference is formed in complete round shape in cross section and which is provided inside with a pressure accumulation chamber having oval cross section and a plurality of blanch pipes each of which is provided inside with a fuel conduit bore. Outer circumference of the oval cross section has a specified portion whose curvature is smaller than that of complete round shape having an area equal to that of the oval cross section. Each of the blanch pipe is connected to the pressure accumulation pipe so that the fuel conduit bore and the pressure accumulation chamber intersect nearly perpendicularly to each other at the specified portion. Accordingly, when fuel is supplied to the pressure accumulation chamber, not only the stresses concentrated on the specified portion are limited but also wall strength of the pressure accumulation pipe at the specified portion is reinforced.

    摘要: A pilot injection amount QP, a main injection amount QM, and a lag TDF between the main and pilot injections are obtained (S130). The pilot injection initiating timing TTP, the pilot injection period TP, the main injection initiating timing TTM, and the main injection period TM are obtained on the basis of the pilot injection amount QP, the main injection amount QM, the fundamental injection initiating timing KT and the common rail pressure Pc (S150). The main injection period correction amount .DELTA.TQM and the injection initiating timing correction shift amount .DELTA.T are then obtained on the basis of the pilot injection period TP and the time lag TDF (S160). Finally, modified by these correction amount .DELTA.TQM and the shift amount .DELTA.T, the pilot injection initiating timing TTP', the main injection initiating timing TTM' and the main injection period TM' are obtained as final values (S170). With this arrangement, a fuel injection control apparatus for an internal combustion engine becomes capable of reducing adverse affects of residual magnetic flux and the pressure pulsation in the fuel injection initiating timing of the main injection, thereby suppressing smoke generation and realizing an optimum fuel injection.
