    摘要: An apparatus and method of converting flue gases produced by a fossil fuel burning furnace boiler is disclosed. The flue gas is separated into its constituent parts by cooling and filtering. Carbon dioxide, the main constituent, is then converted to carbon monoxide in a laser powered gas converter in which carbon is a catalyst. The laser powered converter also produces hydrogen from steam, and the two newly produced gases are chemically combined to produce a hydrocarbon fuel product which can then be burned in the furnace boiler. In this manner no harmful greenhouse gases are permitted to escape to the atmosphere.

    摘要: An apparatus for separating and recovering effluent gases from a furnace includes a pressure vessel for containing the gases. This vessel has a fluid input for receiving the gases and a fluid output for selectively removing the gases when they are separated. A condenser is provided to transform and maintain the lowest vapor pressure gas as a liquid so that it accumulates as a liquid at the bottom of the vessel. The remaining non-condensed effluent gases accumulate in strata above the liquid. Apparatus is provided to selectively remove the liquid and at least one of the remaining non-condensed gases from the vessel through the fluid output. Also set forth is a method for recovering effluent gases from a furnace including the steps of adding the gases to a pressure vessel, altering the density of the gases so that the lowest vapor pressure gas condenses into a liquid and the non-condensed gases stratify above the liquid. Then the liquid is removed from vessel and optionally expanded to cool the vessel. Finally, at least one stratified non-condensed gas is selectively removed from the vessel.

    摘要: A system for refrigerant and recovery and processing includes a hollow fluid-tight pressure vessel having a fluid input; a hollow annular jacket having its inner surface in thermal communication with the pressure vessel, the jacket having a polar axis in substantial alignment with the gravity vector, and the jacket having a liquid accumulator at the bottom thereof. The jacket is provided with an input in liquid communication with the refrigeration system to be vented during a recovery process, such input line in fluid communication with the pressure vessel during reprocessing of the refrigerant. The input from the refrigerant line is further provided with a liquid expansion element for selectively increasing the volume of fluid flowing from the vessel, or from the refrigerant system to be vented. A condenser is in fluid communication with the output of the pressure vessel. Resultingly, the temperature of the vessel will be lowered by virtue of its thermal communication with the jacket, enhancing the efficiency of the condenser and, consequently, of the processing system.

    摘要: Apparatus and methods for transforming water vapor into potable water by using a vapor compression refrigeration system which includes first and second cooling elements disposed in a closed loop air passage duct that provides a continuous air circulation pattern driven by a fan or similar device. Water is introduced into the circulating air and undergoes adiabatic cooling followed by two stage cooling, first at a temperature below the dew point and then at a lower temperature at or below freezing. Water is collected from the air in each step and the air is thereafter heated back up by the condensing element of the refrigeration system enabling it to absorb more water vapor at the point of introduction. The air is recirculated and processed as above to permit cyclical water recovery.

    摘要: An emissionless furnace boiler and effluent gas recovery system includes a pressure vessel having a fluid input and fluid output. The system is capable of maintaining an entropy characteristic equal to at least the condensing pressure of the lowest entropy gas of the gases constituting a processed effluent gas discharge. There is also provided a hollow, annular jacket having a surface in thermal communication with the pressure vessel, the jacket having an axis in substantial alignment with the gravity vector and the jacket including a fluid input and fluid output. The system also includes a fluid path beginning internally of said pressure vessel, passing through the vessel, through the fluid output means, continuing externally of the vessel, and extending between the vessel and the input of the jacket. Within the fluid path, but prior to the input of the jacket, there is provided an expansion valve for selectively changing the volume of fluid flowing from the vessel prior to its entry into the jacket. The system yet further includes a compressor having an input in fluid communication with the output of the annular jacket, the compressor itself having an output in fluid communication with the input of the pressure vessel.

    摘要: There is disclosed herein an electrical generator which includes a linear reciprocating armature mechanically coupled with a source of relative motion. The armature comprises a plurality of magnet means defining north-south poles in alternately opposite directions, the axis of the poles being orthogonal to the direction of reciprocation of the armature. Each of said pole magnets is mounted parallel at relative distances to each other that are equal to their widths in the direction of armature reciprocation. Further provided in the generator is a stator including a plurality of groups of continuous windings, each group corresponding to an adjacent pair of magnet means, each group wound parallel to a plane defined by the direction of reciprocation of the armature and the center point of the axis of the poles of the magnet means. Each winding has a width equal to the width of each pole of the magnet means in the direction of armature reciprocation. Also, each winding group is separated from the adjoining group by a width equal to the pole of each magnet. There is further provided means for limiting the advance and reverse of the armature to a distance equal to three times the width of each pole of each magnet. Also furnished is a housing that will place the stator as close to the armature as possible in order to minimize the air gap therebetween.
