    Abstract: A converter for use with planar antennas has a probe projected into an input part of waveguide structure as extended along a plane including a circuit board in a body of the converter, an opening of which input part being disposed in parallel to the plane, whereby the converter input part is allowed to have a thickness limited within the thickness of the converter body to remarkably reduce the entire thickness for effectively realizing a minimization in the thickness of the converter.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a method of detecting deviation in position and misshape of transported objects which have a predetermined shape and are successively transported at predetermined intervals with the transported objects being maintained in a predetermined direction, comprising the steps of: generating synchronizing signals corresponding to the transportation intervals on a predetermined cycle; detecting passage of end portions of the transported objects at predetermined positions; calculating a time interval between the generation of the synchronizing signals and the passage of the end portions; calculating a mean value and a standard deviation for a prescribed number of the transported objects from time series information; judging a transported object as an object of which position is deviated or shape is deformed when the difference between measured time interval and the mean time interval is larger than a criterion which is calculated based on the standard deviation; replacing the oldest information on the time interval in the time series information with information on time interval of a transported object which is judged that a position thereof is not deviated or a shape thereof is not deformed to renew the time series information; and calculating a mean value and a standard deviation for the renewed time series information so as to be used for the judgment.

    Abstract: A polyolefin resin composition comprising (a) 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin and (b) 0.05 to 1 part by weight of beads of a crosslinked polymer comprising (1) 5 to 99% by weight of a radically polymerizable monomer unit represented by the general formula (A): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms and R.sub.2 is a hydrocarbon group having 5 to 30 carbon atoms, (2) 0 to 94% by weight of a radically polymerizable monomer unit other than the monomer unit of the general formula (A), and (3) 1 to 20% by weight of a crosslinkable monomer unit, said crosslinked polymer beads having a critical surface tension of 40 dyne/cm or less.
