摘要: Systems and methods for automated stereology using deep learning are disclosed. The systems include an update in the form of a semi-automatic approach for ground truth preparation in 3D stacks of microscopy images (disector stacks) for generating more training data. The systems also present an exemplary disector-based MIMO framework where all the planes of a 3D disector stack are analyzed as opposed to a single focus-stacked image (EDF image) per stack. The MIMO approach avoids the costly computations of 3D deep learning-based methods by using the 3D context of cells in disector stacks; and prevents stereological bias in the previous EDF-based method due to counting profiles rather than cells and under-counting overlap-ping/occluded cells. Taken together, these improvements support the view that AI-based automatic deep learning methods can accelerate the efficiency of unbiased stereology cell counts without a loss of accuracy or precision as compared to conventional manual stereology.

摘要: In one implementation, a system for the prevention of malicious attack on a computing resource includes one or more processor; computer memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations including: observing traffic flow of a network; altering a SYN threshold value based on the observing of the traffic flow of the network; comparing a metric of SYN messages submitted to the network; and based on the comparison of the metric of SYN messages submitted, selectively engaging corrective action with the network.

摘要: Compositions are provided for efficient uranium extraction, for example from wastewater, seawater, or other water sources. The compositions can include a functionalized porous organic polymer functionalized with one or more uranium binding moieties, e.g. having a plurality of amidoxime or amidrazone groups covalently attached thereto. The compositions can include covalent organic frameworks, porous aromatic frameworks, and various porous organic polymers, especially those having a hierarchical pore size distribution over a range of pore sizes. The compositions can have functional groups such as amidoxime or an amidrazone covalently attached thereto. The hierarchical pore size distribution can be determined based upon at least 60% of the pore sizes in the range of pore sizes having a pore volume of at least 0.01 cm3 g−1 in the pore size distribution at 77 K. Methods of making the compositions and methods of using the compositions are also provided.

摘要: A miniature pump including a first chamber, a second chamber, a deformable membrane provided within the second chamber that divides the second chamber into first and second sub-chambers, the second sub-chamber defining a reservoir configured to contain liquid to be dispensed, a passage that connects the first chamber to the first sub-chamber, and an outlet in fluid communication with the reservoir, wherein pressurized fluid within the first internal chamber flows through the passage and into the first sub-chamber to compress the deformable membrane and cause liquid contained within the reservoir to flow out from the reservoir through the outlet and wherein the deformable membrane does not generate significant restoring forces when it is deformed and, therefore, will not return to its initial undeformed shape unless the reservoir is refilled.

摘要: A system for authenticating an individual's location activity includes a mobile communications device connected to a network and in electronic communication with at least one other computer. The mobile communications device is configured to authenticate the individual's presence at a location using biometric data entered by the individual. The mobile communications device has applications stored thereon to access location information for the mobile communications device using a GPS application stored on the mobile communications device and to access time information for the mobile communications device from a clock application stored on the mobile communications device. The mobile communications devices creates a digital signature that authenticates an individual's location activity by storing an encrypted digital certificate comprising a hash calculation using the biometric data, a validation key generated by authenticating the biometric data, the location information, and the time information.
