摘要： A fishing reel designed to retain rotational functionality under load. The reel has a spool and spinner head assembly. A first pin arm is pivotally mounted to a plate portion of the spinner head assembly. A plate facing surface of the first pin arm has at least a portion that defines a planar surface from the first pivot end to the first pin arm for providing deflection resistance. A first pick-up pin selectively extends the first pin arm through a first pick-up pin orifice in a wall portion of the spinner head assembly. A first pick-up sleeve is rotationally mounted on the first pick-up pin for engaging fishing line when fishing line is wound onto said spool.

摘要： A battery-powered lighted fishing rod including: a handle having a forward end; a shaft extending from the forward end of the handle; an electroluminescent lamp secured the shaft; and a power source for supplying electrical power to the electroluminescent lamp. In one embodiment, the handle includes a housing which houses a battery and a DC-to-AC inverter for converting the relatively low battery voltage to a relative high AC voltage suitable for driving the electroluminescent lamp and a cover. The cover mates with the housing to form a gripping surface on the handle.

摘要： A fishing reel centrifugal brake assembly is keyed to a spool. The assembly retains slidable brake shoes that extend to contact a ring and speed adjust shoes that extend to contact a conical surface. Brake shoe channels are received on brake assembly rails. Speed adjust shoes apply centrifugal force against the conical surface to move the assembly axially when rotated. The brake assembly is urged away from the brake ring and towards the spool at lower rotational speeds. Braking resulting from brake shoes/brake ring contact is adjustable by a control dial that defines a camming surface that moves the brake ring axially to position a smaller or larger diameter portion of the brake ring adjacent to the brake shoes. Frame springs press the brake ring against the camming surface. A brake spring retainer maintains frame spring orientation when springs are compressed, which reduces the possible of reel jams.

摘要： A fishing reel which displays an estimated weight of a fish on the fishing line while the fish is reeled-in including: a line spool; a load cell for measuring an outward force pulling on the line; a processor in communication with the output of the load cell such that the processor can periodically read the outward force on the line; and a display for displaying an estimated weight of the fish to a fisherman. Based on forces measured between the time a fish strikes the hook and the landing of the fish, the processor calculates and displays an estimated weight.

摘要： A fishing rod is provided with a handle defining a receiving area. A selectively closable latch member allows for quick attachment and release from a carrying member, such as a loop on a backpack, a tackle box receptacle, towel, or other object or point of attachment. The receiving area is partially defined by an inside surface of the handle. A gap is defined by a first surface on a latch receiving portion and a second surface on a latch mount portion. A latch member is mounted on the latch mount portion for selectively obstructing the gap. The latch member may be biased towards a closed position and may have a long side and a short side for biasing the latch member towards the closed position.

摘要： A fishing reel designed to minimize line snag and simplify clicker operation. A frame mounted spool includes a forward flange defining a circumferential groove for receiving a smooth surfaced ring that is loosely mounted therein for minimizing line interaction. A spinner head assembly has pin arms that are pivotally secured to a rearward face. The pin arms present a substantially smooth rear surface for minimizing line snags. Pin springs are mounted on the opposite face of spinner head member and communicate with the pin arms via pin arm posts that extend through openings. An enclosure is affixed to the forward face of the spinner head for permitting the pin springs to have freedom of movement, but for enclosing pin springs and posts to prevent interaction with fishing line. A dual clicker passes through the frame for engaging the spool and the drag adjusting wheel.

摘要： A fishing reel, such as a spincast reel, that includes a body having a frame that defines a thumb button attachment member on a rear side of the frame. A spool and spinner head are rotatably mounted forward of a front side of the frame. A front cover is secured to a front side of the frame to enclose components. A thumb button is pivotally secured to the thumb button attachment member. The thumb button has an actuating post that extends forwardly for applying force to a rearward end of a center shaft when the thumb button is depressed. A back cover is affixed to the rear side of the frame. The back cover defines a thumb button orifice for allowing a user to access the thumb button when the back cover is secured to the frame.
