摘要: The projectile-catching brake employs at least one resilient brake shoe which is made of metal for use with plastic projectiles. Where used with steel projectiles, the brake shoe may be provided with an insert of plastic material which can be replaced from time-to-time. In some embodiments, the resilient brake shoe is formed of a hollow section member to define a cavity through which air or other coolant may flow. In still other embodiments, bent stampings are used to form the brake shoes. A brake shoe body of metal may also be mounted by spaced apart resilient plastic strips.

摘要: An annular body (2) having a spherical outside surface is fixed coaxially on an annular rubber cushion (3) which in turn is fixed coaxially on a mounting rod (10). A guiding ring (4) is supported inside a case (1) and has a spherical inside surface which cooperates with the spherical outside surface of the annular body to permit rotational movement. The case has axial abutments (6,7) which limit rotational movement and serve as fixing points for bellows which protect the joint.

摘要: In an electrically operated valve, a valve closure member, which lies in the path between the inlet channel and the outlet channel, is connected to an expansion member. At the time of electrical heating, the expansion member lifts the valve closure member from the associated valve seat, due to which the path for the flowing medium is cleared. A cooling member is located in an annular channel, into which, controlled by a regulating valve, different quantities of flowing medium can be introduced. The cooling member is thermally coupled to the expansion member. In this way, the expansion member, according to the position of the regulating valve, can be cooled to different degrees, due to which the response behaviour of the valve is variable in particular after switching-off the electric current.

摘要: The catcher is operated so that prior to moving the projectile back into the ejection position, the brake block of the second braking station is disengaged while the first brake block remains in a braking position. Friction on the projectile and brake linings of the second braking station is reduced with a corresponding reduction in wear.In one embodiment, the braking stations are constructed with independent brake blocks. In a second embodiment, a common brake block may straddle the two braking stations.

摘要: In a sanitary fitting which is controlled without physcial contact at least one sensor is provided through which the water flow can be continuously adjusted. A pilot controlled valve is used for this which is operated by an electric motor. The rotation of the electric motor output shaft is converted into the linear movement of a plunger. This plunger in turn operates a closing device which opens or closes the pilot opening of a membrane. The membrane acts together with a valve seat to regulate the actual water flow. The design of the valve is such that in all positions between the fully open and fully closed position the membrane reliably follows the position of the closing device. Thus a continuous adjustment of the water flow is possible by using minimum power.
