Abstract:
Described is a spatial uncoiling and stretch-bending process in combination with a mandrel bending station and the corresponding apparatus, in which the section being bent is first clamped at either end and prestressed and the section is then bent, with at least one section roller being pressed against the section in the forming zone and three-dimensionally repositioned. To also permit the bending of closed or partially open sections, the invention provides that the mandrel bending station, with the mandrel or mandrels around which the section is bent, move in agreement with the motion of the section rollers, which are pressed from the outside onto the mandrel bending station.
Abstract:
A raising device for attachment to hospital beds consists of an oval tube mounted in a support and which can be rotated and locked in any desired position of rotation, on whose upper free end a handgrip is arranged by which the patient can pull himself up. He can swing himself to the edge of the bed by rotation of the oval tube, and as soon as the oval tube is pre-loaded in an axial direction a clutch engages which is built in to a support arranged on the bed-head. The clutch consists of a clutch member connected as an axial extension of the oval tube which has an axial shoulder formed as a cone which engages in a corresponding conical recess of a radially expandable brake shoe whose outer circumference can be pressed in a free-locking fashion against the inner side of a bearing cup which is a bearing for the clutch. Such a clutch enables the rotational position of the oval tube to be locked in any desired angular position.
Abstract:
In the process for the cold forming of ferrous and nonferrous metal sections, pretensioning is applied to the initially essentially straight metal section, which is clamped at both ends. Next, the tensioned metal section is bent in a rotating bending tool. In order to achieve three-dimensional forming of the metal section, the bending tool effects a controlled movement in all three spatial axes, whereby the metal section is pressed, with a backlash-free guide system, at least in the forming region against the bending tool and guided by positive engagement.
Abstract:
The inventive method produces round parts consisting of profiled metal sections from a straight, profiled extruded section forming a wheel-like shape having butt ends joined together by welding. Bending the straight section into a round part is accomplished by first adjustably prestressing the straight section and then subjecting the prestressed section to a rolling bending operation. For this purpose, the section to be bent is wound either from one side or from both sides around the outside diameter of coordinated rolling dies the rotating rolling dies being able to additionally perform a translatory motion in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the section. The resulting wheel rim has the rim pan integrally joined to the rim ring.
Abstract:
A method of stretching and bending hollow profiled lengths of material provides for the hollow profiled length to be bent symmetrically from both ends, starting from the ends of the length of material, simultaneously in a Y torsion direction under initial tension. Respective tools for bending the length of material are stationary and the hollow profiled length of material is bent in the torsion direction by means of a movable clamping head about the bending tool. The clamping head is also pivotable in the torsion direction. Alternatively, the hollow profiled length of material can also be bent about a bending template. The hollow profiled length of material is wound onto core tools from its ends and a pressing die acts on the hollow profiled length between the core tools.
