Abstract:
In order to simplify the design of a clamping device (1), in particular for securing an axially displaceable rod (3) in optional adjustment positions, in which a rolling body (17) is supported at a housing (5) enclosing it for clamping purposes, the rolling body (17) is arranged in a lever head (9) of a lever (6) having at its end remote of the lever head (9) a push button (11) which is guided out through the housing (5) and the rolling body (17) contacts a portion of the wall of the housing (5) constructed on its inner side as an oblique plane (19).
Abstract:
A tensioning device for the skins of percussion instruments includes a plurality of bearing brackets which are provided with threads and are arranged distributed over the circumference of the instrument shell. Tensioning screws are adjustably mounted in the bearing brackets and act on a hoop for holding the skin. A clamping piece of an elastomer material which surrounds each tensioning screw serves to secure the screws automatically in each tensioning position relative to the bearing bracket or a thread in the bearing bracket. The clamping piece is mounted so as to be in positively locking engagement with a structural component of the tensioning device.
Abstract:
A membranophone includes a principal skin or head skin and a secondary skin as well as a skin tightening device and/or tuning device. The skin tightening and/or tuning device includes rod-shaped tightening elements at least for the head skin, wherein the tightening elements are arranged uniformly distributed over the outer circumference of the resonator shell of the membranophone, and wherein the tightening elements are supported by support members fastened to the resonator shell, on the one hand, and the tightening elements adjustably act through threaded members on the tightening hoop for the skin or skins, on the other hand. Damping members are arranged between the support members and the resonator shell or kettle. The skin or skins are held by winding hoops and can be tightened and, thus, tuned by means of the winding hoops and the tightening hoops relative to the opening rim of the resonator shell. The membranophone further includes at least one holding stirrup which is connected to the resonator shell through a damping member.
Abstract:
A device for adjusting a length or inclination of a support for a percussion musical instrument, including an articulated ball formed of a plurality of sector members forming a central channel for receiving an adjusting rod-shaped member, clamping jaws having inner surfaces defining a socket for retaining the articulated ball and forming therewith a ball-and-socket joint, and a tensioning element for actuating the clamping jaws.
Abstract:
A support device and/or holding device for a musical percussion instrument, particularly for the instrument body of a membranophone which has a resonator. The support device includes a rigid holding member fastened to a support for the instrument. A flexible connecting member is arranged between the rigid support member and the rigid holding member. The connecting member is of a non-metal material with vibration damping and/or vibration absorbing properties. The holding member is exclusively mounted on the outer side of the instrument body and the support body is mounted on the inner side of the instrument body. The flexible connecting member is composed of a part arranged between the support member and the inner side of the instrument body and of a part arranged between the holding member and the outer side of the instrument body. One of the parts engages into openings in the instrument body. Tie rods or anchoring rods extend through the opening between the holding member and the support member.
Abstract:
A pedal assembly for a drum has a floor plate, a clamp for securing the floor plate to a hoop of a drum, a pivot on the floor plate, a post pivotal on the pivot of the floor plate between an erect operating position extending upward from the floor plate and a transport position recumbent on the floor plate. An upper end of the post is adapted to hold a beater shaft. A pedal pivotal on the plate is couplable to the beater shaft. A latch releasably locks the post in at least the operating position.
Abstract:
A drum having an annular rim is connected to a pedal assembly by a clamp having an outer clamp part engaging an outer surface of the rim only at a pair of locations axially spaced along the rim and an inner clamp part generally aligned with the outer part and engaging an inner surface of the rim only at a pair of locations axially spaced along the rim and lying between the locations of the outer clamp part. The clamp parts are pressed toward each other against the respective surfaces of the rim, and a coupling secures the clamp parts to the pedal assembly.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a carrying and/or holding device for musical percussion instruments, particularly with an attachment for an instrument, such as a tom-tom drum, wherein the attachment is fastened by means of an upper bearing and a lower bearing to the kettle of a bass drum in a vibration damping manner.
