    摘要: The present invention provides a traffic diversion system at a traffic intersection which comprises a traffic signal arrangement including a straight-through signal, a stop signal, a ‘C’ signal or an inverse ‘C’ signal. The traffic diversion system at a traffic intersection further provides a provision for two opposite lanes to open at a time and direct right turn is prohibited. According to an embodiment, the vehicle which intends to take right turn will be first required to take a left turn and then a ‘U’ turn upon the ‘C’ signal indicator. The ‘C’ signal indicator will be introduced along with the other traffic signals so that a vehicle takes the ‘C’ turn only when the ‘C’ signals indicator is ‘green’.

    摘要: A computer-readable medium including computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform acts, via an associated method that includes selecting a fault tree based upon an architecture of a safety instrumented system. The method includes evaluating at least a failure probability due to dangerous detected failures and a failure probability due to dangerous undetected failures as a function of values of factors. A portion of the failure probability due to dangerous undetected failures is based on failures detected during proof testing and a remainder of the failure probability due to dangerous undetected failures is based on failures detected during refurbishment. The method includes generating a probability of failure on demand for the safety instrumented system by combining at least the failure probability due to dangerous detected failures and the failure probability due to dangerous undetected failures according to the fault tree.

In one embodiment, one or more life-span models associated with power systems equipment may be received. Examples of such life-span models may include a left-censoring model, a right-censoring model, and an interval-censoring model. An accuracy of the life-span models may be determined based at least in part on statistical analysis, such as a Weibull distribution analysis. A stability of the life-span models may also be determined, in certain embodiments herein.

    摘要: The present invention provides a traffic diversion system at a traffic intersection which comprises a traffic signal arrangement including a straight-through signal, a stop signal, a custom signal. The traffic diversion system at a traffic intersection further provides for two opposite straight-through signals to open at a time and direct right turn in a left-hand traffic system and a direct left turn in a right-hand traffic system is prohibited. According to an embodiment, the vehicle which intends to take right turn in a left-hand traffic system will be directed using custom signal to take a left turn and a ‘U’ turn. Similarly, in a right-hand traffic system, the vehicle which intends to take left turn will be directed to take a right turn and a ‘U’ turn upon the custom signal being enabled.
