Abstract:
A hinge for a portable computing device has a shaft, a rotating bracket and a stationary bracket. The shaft includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is a cylindrical tube. The cylindrical tube has an internal cavity. The second portion has an outer surface and a notch. The notch is formed in the outer surface of the second portion and communicates with the internal cavity of the cylindrical tube. Therefore, cables extending through the internal cavity of the cylindrical tube of the shaft will extend through the notch to electrically connect their corresponding devices in a base and a cover of the portable computing device. The connection of the cables to their corresponding devices is facilitated, because there is no obstruction in the notch, thereby increasing productivity.
Abstract:
A sliding hinge has two sliding assemblies mounted on a cover of an electronic device, two pivoting assemblies mounted on a base of the electronic device and two retractable connecting assemblies. An end of one retractable connecting assembly is connected to the end of the other retractable connecting assembly. Another end of each retractable connecting assembly is pivotally connected to a corresponding sliding assembly and a corresponding pivoting assembly. The two retractable connecting assemblies of the sliding hinge provide sufficient resilient force to push and hold the cover of the electronic device, especially a large-sized electronic device, at the closed or open position.
Abstract:
A transversely movable hinge is mounted between a base and a cover of a folding device and has a moving assembly. The moving assembly is connected to an expansion device via a linking rod. Therefore, when the folding device is opened, the expansion device is driven to extend and is convenient for users. When the folding device is closed, the expansion device is driven to retract for saving space.

A sliding hinge for a portable device has a main bracket, a mounting panel and a coil spring. The mounting panel is slid relative to the main bracket. A distal end of the coil spring is attached securely to the mounting panel. The mounting panel is attached securely to a cover of the portable device. A proximal end of the coil spring is attached securely to a base of the portable device. When the cover is slid to open, the coil spring forces the cover to be fully opened. Therefore, the cover slides to be fully opened without external

A sliding hinge for a portable device has a main bracket, a mounting panel and a plate spring assembly. The mounting panel is slid relative to the main bracket. A tether of the plate spring assembly is attached securely to the mounting panel. The mounting panel is attached securely to a cover of the portable device. A hub of the plate spring assembly is attached securely to a base of the portable device. When the cover is slid to open, the plate spring assembly forces the cover to be fully opened. Therefore, the cover slides to be fully opened without external forces.

Abstract:
A system for evaluating cutting efficiency of root canal rotary instruments is provided. The system includes a root canal rotary instrument, a driving unit, a cutting object, a prestressing force providing unit and a feeding unit. The root canal rotary instrument is attached on the driving unit, and driven thereby. The cutting object is pressed by the prestressing force providing unit to contact the root canal rotary instrument. The feeding unit feeds the cutting object to the root canal rotary instrument, and the root canal rotary instrument cuts an uncut surface of the cutting object.
