Abstract: A method for producing a charging connector includes providing a first thermoplastic material; thermoforming the first thermoplastic material into a reinforcement element, wherein the reinforcement element corresponds to a geometry of the charging connector; placing the reinforcement element into a mould for injection moulding; and forming at least a part of the charging connector by injection over molding the reinforcement element with a second thermoplastic material.
