    Abstract: The disclosure provides an example of a system including a radio frequency (RF) wireless communication network (network) including a plurality of nodes in an area and a computer coupled to the network. Each of the nodes includes a transmitter and a receiver. At plurality of times, each transmitter transmits RF spectrum signals (signals) and each receiver receives the signals and also generates an indicator data of a signal characteristic of the received signal propagated in the network. When each time among the plurality of times is a current time, the computer obtains the indicator data of the signal, determines a modification in the indicator data at the current time from the indicator data at a preceding time due to a movement of an occupant in the area and detect an occupancy condition in the area based on the modification in the indicator data and a parameter of a configuration of the network.

    Abstract: The examples of luminaires include radio frequency (RF) circuitry, an antenna, a light source and a housing. The radio frequency circuitry is configured to emit or receive RF signals. The antenna is coupled to the RF circuitry and located at a back wall of the housing opposite a housing output aperture. The light source may be located at a housing perimeter closer in proximity to the output aperture. The light source may be configured to emit light for general illumination of a space. The housing encloses an RF radiation transparent volume substantially free of RF radiation interfering materials. The volume may extend from the antenna to the housing output aperture. Examples also include an RF transparent reflector to reflect light emitted by the light sources. Light and RF radiation may pass through the RF transparent volume and the housing output aperture.

    Abstract: Examples of systems and method track a location of an asset within a space using an asset tag location estimation system, track movement of a selected user, or user's mobile device, using a positioning system, and associate the tracked asset with the selected user, or user's mobile device, based on a determination of a trajectory of the asset and the mobile device. Trajectories of the user/mobile device and the asset tag may be determined by a backend server. The trajectory of the selected user/mobile device and the trajectory of the asset tag are compared by the backend server to determine a correspondence between the respective trajectories based on a predetermined correspondence criteria. The determined correspondence indicates that a user of the corresponding mobile device is moving the asset. In response to the determined correspondence, the backend server associates the asset tag to the selected user/mobile device in a database.

    Abstract: A lighting device or system is configured to control of one or more parameters of light output, such as ON/OFF status, intensity when ON, color characteristics and position or orientation of light output (e.g. via a motorized luminaire control).
