Abstract: The liquid phase thermally induced cyclodehydration of N-( omega -hydroxyalkyl) alkyl and aryl carboxylamides to afford cyclic iminoethers is catalyzed by compounds of manganese, cobalt, molybdenum, tungsten and the rare earth metals.
