Abstract: In an authentication method between communication devices, the authentication method being used for identifying a communication device to serve as a target of communication among a plurality of communication devices including a first communication device and a second communication device and establishing a connection for communication, the first communication device receives a signal the second communication device transmits, detects first displacement information relating to the positional change of the second communication device, from a change in the intensity of the received signal and a change in the phase thereof, performs first determination by comparing the first displacement information with first held information preliminarily set, and identifies the second communication device as a target of communication on the basis of the result of the first determination.
