    摘要: Configuration of a main access point device (APD) requires an amount of time that can cause a user to incorrectly assume that that issues have arisen during configuration. The amount of time can be due in part to the APD determining a backhaul connection for use with an EAPD, for example, a satellite APD. The APD can determine an initial backhaul connection for use during the configuration. This initial backhaul connection can be based, for example, on one or more default configuration parameters. The APD can proceed with configuration using the initial backhaul connection. The APD can send a configuration notification to a client device associated with the user that informs the user, for example, that the configuration is completed and that a backhaul optimization is being performed. In this way, the user is informed of the status of the configuration such that costs and resources can be conserved.

    摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure are drawn to a client device for use with a Wi-Fi network device, a second client device, and a third client device. The Wi-Fi network device has a host table stored therein. The host table lists the second client device and the third client device. The client device is able to associate with the Wi-Fi network device, identify the second client device, and identify the third client device. The client device also creates a monitored devices list of client devices associated with the Wi-Fi network based on the host table. The client device also adds the second client device to the monitored devices list and determines, from the host table, whether the second client device is currently associated with the Wi-Fi network device. The client device additionally provides an indication when the second client device is currently associated with the Wi-Fi network device.

The client device includes a memory and a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory. This causes the client device to onboard onto the first network device using a first password, generate a key, and store first association information in the external server. The first association information including client device identifying data to uniquely identify the client device. The client device will also onboard the second network device using the first password and store second association information in the external server, the second association information including the client device identifying data, and second network device identifying data to uniquely identify the second network device.
