Abstract: Packet-based network delivery control can include receiving, at a router of a network route, data packets associated with traffic generated by an application server, the traffic being sent by an application server to a destination device via the network route, determining, at the router, if executable code is to be generated for the data packets, in response to a determination that the executable code is to be generated for the data packets, determining handling instructions for the data packets, generating the executable code, the executable code, when executed by the router, causing the router to transmit the data packets across the network route in accordance with the handling instructions, and implementing the handling instructions at the router to transmit the data packets across the network route in accordance with the handling instructions.
