    Abstract: Network requests can be automatically routed between two or more computer subsystems in some examples. In one such example, a system can determine that a user is eligible for a service based on usage data relating to an account of the user. Based on determining that the account is eligible for the service, the system can activate the service for the user by communicating with a service subsystem. Subsequent to activating the service for the user, the system can receive a network request associated with the user and determine that the network request has a characteristic. Based on determining that the network request has the characteristic, the system can forward the request to the service subsystem. The service subsystem can complete the network request using the service.

    Abstract: A network device uses a routing policy to assess network routes, such as BGP routes. The routes can be routes advertised by neighbors to be programmed in a routing table of the network device. The network routes can be previously programmed routes (e.g., in a routing table) in the network device to be advertised to its neighbors. The routing policy includes routing control functions (RCF functions) for assessing a network route. An RCF function can be invoked with arguments, which allows the user to deploy some common logic (e.g., matching a community list, modifying a local preference value, etc.) with different sets of input values without having to write separate functions for each set of input values.

    Abstract: An object is to provide a network device and the like that enable a first network that determines a traffic communication route using the Ethernet ring protocol and a second network that determines a traffic communication route by transmitting/receiving a control frame related to the traffic communication route within the network to be connected in a redundant configuration. When the network device according to the present invention has transitioned to a state in which there is no interface that can communicate with the first network and there is an interface that can communicate with the second network, it transitions to a standby state and further transmits information indicating that communication is impossible to the second network, and when there is an interface that can communicate with the first network and there is no interface that can communicate with the second network, it transitions to the standby state and further transmits communication route change information to the first network.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for supporting traffic management capabilities under network control. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving one or more User Equipment (UE) Route Selection Policy (URSP) rules from a network node, receiving traffic control information associated to the one or more URSP rules, and performing one or more actions based on the one or more URSP rules and the traffic control information. In this manner, the network is given control of slice traffic management such that the network can force the UE to perform an action(s) when the network thinks that such action(s) is beneficial.
