    Abstract: A connector in which a slider 30 is pushed into a housing 20 in a state in which a terminal of a flexible wiring member 40 has been inserted in the housing 20, thereby holding the terminal of the flexible wiring material 40 at a position where its conductors are brought into contact with terminals 10. A guiding mechanism for the slider 30, including a guide portion 36 and the like, is provided. At the time of the pushing of the slider, the slider 30 is guided such that after being slid in a first direction which is inclined in the direction of approaching conductors of the wiring member 40 with respect to an inserting direction of the wiring member, the slider 30 is slid in a second direction parallel to the inserting direction of the wiring member.

    Abstract: The wiring material is manufactured in such a manner that a plurality of flat cables is superimposed on top of one another. In the end portions of the conductors of the respective flat cables, there are formed terminal fixing portions. The terminal fixing portions are formed by removing an insulating material disposed on one-side outer surfaces of the end portions of the flat cables, forming small-width portions smaller in the conductor width than the remaining portions of the flat cables in a part of the insulating material removed areas; and, folding back the flat cables in the small-width portions and superimposing the conductors on top of one another. Due to proper superimposition of these flat cables, the respective terminal fixing portions can be arranged sequentially in the width direction of the flat cables at a prescribed pitch.

    Abstract: An on-board type connector which includes a housing 20 made of synthetic resin for holding terminals 10, and reinforcing metal plates 50 integrally having parts 54 to be fixed on board and parts 55 to be fixed to the housing which are adapted to be fixed to both sides of the housing 20 in a lateral direction. The housing 20 is provided, at both sides thereof in the lateral direction, with insertion slits 24a which open toward a bottom face of the housing. These parts 55 to be fixed to the housing are restrained from the back and the forth by a restraining part 25 of the housing 20, in a state where the parts 55 have been inserted into the insertion slits 24a from the bottom face side of the housing.
