Abstract: A machine for manufacturing tea-filled double-chamber bags from a web of material continuously formed into a tube and on which tea is deposited in portion, the machine comprising cutting means for cutting off tube pieces containing two tea portions, a plurality of arms pivotably arranged on the transporting wheel of the machine for holding the tube pieces, a device for forming a bottom fold of a bag, and a stationary cover located in the area of the upper apex of the transporting wheel and extending in a rotational direction of the wheel at a peripheral surface thereof, the arms having bearing surfaces at their free ends for receiving the tube piece after cutting and pressing it against the underside surface of the cover.

Abstract: An improved infusion bag for containing, for example, tea, is disclosed wherein the top of the bag is reinforced by a flexible strip folded into two wings which encompass the top of the bag. One wing extends along the length of the bag and projects beyond the bottom to serve as a pull strap for removing the bag from a box-like container. Abstract: An arrangement for supplying and dosing a loose filling material comprises a dosing wheel rotatable in a predetermined direction and having a plurality of dosing chambers movable along a movement path, forming a filling chamber arranged above the movement path of the dosing chamber and limited from below by the dosing wheel and in the direction of rotation by an end wall having a lower edge, a stripper arranged in the region of the lower edge and abutting against the dosing wheel. Means is provided for substantially maintaining a constant filling pressure over a whole opening cross-section of the filling chamber, the maintaining means including a plurality of members having a stepped configuration and disposed on the end wall of the filling chamber, the members being varied in height in response to variations of filling pressure of the filling chamber, so that the filling pressure substantially remains constant by varying the volume of the filling chamber.

Abstract: A packed infusible bag for an infusible substance with an inner bag, which contains the substance, made of a liquid-permeable material, a string secured to the head of the bag and a packing envelope made of a liquid- and air-impermeable material surrounding the bag on all sides, with the envelope having an edge part formed of two sealed material layers enclosuring the free end of the string. The edge part bounds a hollow space of the envelope in which the bag is received, and a tag is connected via the string with the head of the bag for handling of the bag and the tag is separable from the remainder of the envelope along a separating line which leaves the string untouched. With a hermetically sealed envelope, the separating line extends in the edge part, in part closely adjacent to the hollow space, such that between the tag and the hollow space, a narrow stay is formed which can be separated by hand transversely to the regional running direction of the separating line.
