摘要： An aquarium filter for mounting externally of an aquarium tank. The filter includes an intake chamber for receiving contaminated aquarium water from the aquarium tank and a filtering chamber in flow communication with the intake chamber for filtering of the contaminated water and subsequent return of the clean water back to the aquarium tank. An impeller unit driven by a rotor magnetically coupled to a removably attached electromagnetic stator unit serves to draw the water from the aquarium tank to the intake chamber through a removable intake tube assembly. A partition wall separates the intake chamber from the filtering chamber for the water filling the intake chamber to overflow the partition wall into the filtering chamber. Upon stoppage of the impeller, the water from the intake chamber siphons back into the aquarium tank. A narrow passageway provided in the partition wall provides a limited reverse flow of water from the filtering chamber back to the intake chamber upon drainage of the water from the intake chamber due to this siphoning action. After the siphon breaks, this reverse flow remains in the intake chamber to self-prime the filter for restarting.

摘要： An aquarium filter having a housing unit for mounting on the wall of the aquarium tank with an intake chamber for receiving contaminated water and a filtering chamber for filtering the contaminated water and passing it back into the aquarium. A removable intake tube transfers the water from an inlet end to an outlet end where it can flow from the aquarium tank to the intake chamber. A slidable control valve selectively exposes bypass ports on the outlet end to regulate the flow rate of the aquarium water from a maximum down to shut-off, and all values therebetween.

摘要： A birdcage feeding device is provided with a seed chamber, seed cup, and method of attachment. The feeding device comprises an opening that may be opened or closed in order to displace seeds from a feeding chamber to fill a seed cup. The seed cup is designed to be shallow such that seeds do not get buried under layers of empty shells and hulls. The seed cup also has high rear and side walls to guard seeds from being scattered outside by birds. The feeding device may be closed to allow a user to remove the seed cup, without removing the device, for cleaning. A method of attachment is also described that allows the device to be on the outside of the birdcage while being secured from the inside of the cage, thus allowing for easy refilling of the device.

摘要： A method of mounting a squeaker into a hard rubber bail toy. A separate sleeve or shroud is provided that retains a squeaker and forms the noise producing element to be inserted into the rubber toy. The sleeve has a recessed area that tightly mates with an opening in the rubber toy and also includes a bonding surface to secure the sleeve to the toy. The shroud could also be formed with differently sized flanges that extend from a proximate end of the sleeve. An inherent feature of the disclosed structure is that the flanges will cause the noise producing element to be retained within the toy even if the bonding of the shroud to the opening in the toy happens to fail.
