Abstract: A computing resource monitoring service receives a request to store a measurement for a metric associated with a computing resource. The computing resource monitoring service determines an identifier for the measurement and, using the identifier, selects a logical partition for storage of the measurement. The computing resource monitoring service creates a measurement storage job that is added to a priority queue, specifying the location of the logical partition and an archival storage resource where the measurement is to be stored. This enables an aggregator system to obtain the measurement storage job and fulfill the request by storing the measurement within the archival storage resource.

Abstract: A computing resource services provider receives user diagnostics comprising analysis operations to be performed on one or more computing resources. The computing resource services provider monitors resources indicated by the user diagnostics. When one or more computing resources exceed a threshold value or otherwise indicate abnormalities in computing resource usage, the computing resource services provider performs one or more analysis operations to determine one or more causes for increased computing resource usage. Results of the one or more analysis operations are presented to a user once the computing resource services provider completes the one or more analysis operations.

Abstract: An aggregator system obtains a first set of measurements from a logical partition of a computing resource monitoring service. The aggregator system aggregates this first set of measurements with a second set of measurements obtained from a storage resource. Using these measurements, the aggregator system generates a data segment that corresponds to a time interval of both the first set of measurements and the second set of measurements. The aggregator system stores this data segment in the storage resource and updates an index to indicate the location in the storage resource where the data segment is stored.
