    Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a programmable power amplifier including an output impedance matching circuit, and a programmable inductance matching circuit. The inductance matching circuit may be coupled to the impedance matching circuit. The inductance matching circuit may include one or more shunt inductors to reduce an adverse effect of one or more capacitors of the programmable power amplifier. The inductance matching circuit may improve an output power of the power amplifier, adjust a center frequency (e.g., resonant frequency) for providing output signals by the power amplifier, or both. As such, an electronic device may include one or more power amplifiers having the inductance matching circuit to amplify input signals with improved output power, improve a bandwidth for providing the output signals based on adjusting the center frequency, or both.

    Abstract: Wireless circuitry can include a radio-frequency amplifier and a tunable matching network coupled to an output of the radio-frequency amplifier. The tunable matching network can include series inductors, first switches coupled between the output of the radio-frequency amplifier and a first portion of the series inductors, and second switches coupled between the first portion of the series inductors and an output port of the tunable matching network. The tunable matching network can further include an adjustable balun having a primary coil coupled to a second portion of the series inductors and having a secondary coil. The wireless circuitry can include control circuitry configured to activate and deactivate the first and second switches to operate the tunable matching network across a wide range of frequency bands.

    Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a power amplifier including a programmable impedance matching circuit. The programmable impedance matching circuit may include a programmable primary inductor and a secondary inductor. The programmable primary inductor may adjust a center frequency (e.g., resonant frequency) for providing amplified signals by the power amplifier to improve (e.g., expand) a frequency bandwidth of the power amplifier. As such, the power amplifier may have improved frequency bandwidth compared to other power amplifiers.

    Abstract: To reduce loss in a matching network without crowding the matching network transformer, a harmonic rejection inductor may be removed from the center of the transformer and an existing secondary coil (e.g., secondary inductor) of the transformer may be reused as the harmonic rejection inductor. The secondary coil may be reused as the harmonic rejection inductor by coupling a harmonic rejection capacitor directly to windings of the secondary coil, which may enable the portion of the secondary coil between the harmonic rejection capacitor tap point and ground to function as the harmonic rejection inductor.
