Abstract: Some examples of the disclosure are directed to presenting animated spatial effects within a computer-generated environment, such as an extended-reality environment. A communication associated with presenting a spatial effect may be received by an electronic device, and in response, the device may present the spatial effect with visual attributes that are selected by the device based on various criteria. Such visual attributes may include an emitting location, an emitting direction, a color, and/or a size of the spatial effect. The criteria used to select the visual attributes may include, for example, whether a representation of the sending user is displayed within the computer-generated environment, a direction of attention of the receiving user, and/or other criteria. Optionally, the spatial effect may include an audio portion with audio attributes that are also selected based on various criteria.

Abstract: An example method includes, at an electronic device with one or more processors and memory: detecting a new type of available information, the new type of available information being associated with a card for display in a content feed; in accordance with detecting the new type of available information, increasing a relevance score of the card above a display threshold; in accordance with increasing the relevance score above the display threshold: causing the card to be displayed in the content feed; and obtaining data representing user interaction with the displayed card; adjusting, based on the data representing user interaction with the displayed card, the relevance score; and modifying a display of the card in the content feed based on the adjusted relevance score.
