    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments include methods performed by a user equipment (UE). The methods include transmitting two transmission (Tx) streams simultaneously, wherein the two Tx streams are transmitted by two distinct Tx polarization circuitries within a same UE antenna panel circuitry as two Tx polarizations. The methods also include identifying a first signal, identifying a second signal, transmitting the first signal in a first direction using a first polarization of an antenna panel and transmitting the second signal in a second direction using a second polarization of the antenna panel.

    Abstract: A user equipment that selects at least one synchronization signal block (SSB) resource ID based on measurements of a second signal block, wherein the second signal block comprises a system information block (SIB) in 5G new radio (NR) that is spatially quasi co-located (QCLed) with the SSB resource ID, generates a beam reporting message including the selected SSB resource ID(s) and transmits the beam reporting message to a base station. A next generation NodeB (gNB) in a wireless network including the gNB and a UE that allocates downlink (DL) reference resources (RS) in a frequency range for the UE, wherein the DL comprise SIB occasions, each associated with a synchronization signal block (SSB) resource identification (ID) and receives reporting messages containing measurements by the UE for the DL RS.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in a wireless network including a first next generation NodeB (gNB) and a second gNB for communicating with the UE performs operations. The operations include determining to transmit a first transmission (Tx) stream and a second Tx stream simultaneously to the first gNB and the second gNB for handing over communication with the UE from a first cell to a second cell, wherein the first gNB is a serving gNB in the first cell and the second gNB is a handover target gNB in the second cell and simultaneously transmitting within a same antenna panel of the UE the first transmission stream to the first gNB using a first polarization and the second transmission stream to the second gNB using a second polarization different from the first polarization.
