Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for producing composite materials. The methods may comprise feeding to an extruder one or more components which may comprise a first component comprising a fiber and a second component comprising a polymer-based matrix or composite to generate a composite material. The fiber may be a biological fiber in a rope form when being directed into the extruder.
