    Abstract: A wire seal assembly configured to seal a wire cable to a connector housing of an electrical connector includes a seal reinforcement device configured to be substantially rigid along a first axis. The wire seal assembly also has a compliant cable seal that is disposed within the seal reinforcement device and is in compressive contact with the wire cable. The wire seal assembly further incorporates a compliant housing seal axially that surrounds the seal reinforcement device. The housing seal is in compressive contact with the connector housing.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an electrical terminal, a terminal module in which the electrical terminal is disposed, a connector housing having a primary locking mechanism configured to secure the terminal module within the connector housing, a secondary locking mechanism also configured to secure the terminal module within the connector housing, and a retainer attached to the connector housing and configured to maintain compressive contact between the secondary locking mechanism and the terminal module. The secondary locking mechanism further includes a wire seal assembly that has a rigid tube, a compliant tubular inner seal axially disposed within the rigid tube, and a compliant tubular outer seal axially surrounding the rigid tube.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical terminal defining a pair of retaining ridges, a connector housing having a terminal cavity extending therethrough from a first opening to a second opening and a fixed terminal lock nib that projects inwardly into the terminal cavity from a rigid first wall to engage a first ridge of the pair of retaining ridges of the electrical terminal, and a terminal retainer inserted within the connector housing proximate the first opening and removably retained to the connector housing by a flexible retaining arm. The terminal retainer further includes a flexible terminal lock arm having a moveable terminal lock nib that projects inwardly into the terminal cavity from the flexible terminal lock arm to engage a second ridge of the pair of retaining ridges of the electrical terminal, thereby inhibiting removal of the electrical terminal from the terminal cavity through the second opening.
