摘要： Methods and systems for modulating articular branch nerves emanating from sensory and/or motor nerves to treat joint pain. The methods and systems described may be used to modulate (e.g., denervate, ablate) articular branch nerves of, for example, cranial gluteal, femoral, sciatic, and/or obturator nerves, the sensory and/or motor nerves themselves, and/or other nerves innervating a joint. The modulation of these nerves may facilitate treatment of chronic joint pain (e.g., hip) and lameness (e.g., osteoarthritis (OA), degenerative joint disease (DJD), etc.). The modulation may be performed using a neuromodulation device (e.g., an energy delivery device). The device may use bipolar radiofrequency energy to form a linear or arcuate lesion. The lesion may follow curvature of bone, for example in a joint capsule.
