摘要: The invention relates to a coffee percolator for selectively making normal coffee or espresso, comprising a water flow path extending between a cold water supply inlet and a brewing unit, said flow path being divided into a first branch including a pressure pump, and a second branch including a valve adapted to close or be closed in the espresso making mode, and further comprising control means for activating said valve(s) and/or said pump in response to the selection of the type of coffee to be made. The invention is directed towards the provision of a coffee percolator of this type, which is of simplyfied and economic construction and substantially failure-proof. This is achieved by providing that the flow path is employed in common for the water used for making espresso and normal coffee, and is only divided adjacent the pump into the first flow path branch including the pump and the second flow path branch forming a bypass across the pump. This construction eliminates a considerable number of connection and sealing points along the flow path and at the metering and heating devices, resulting in the elimination of potential failure at these locations.

摘要: Described is a coffee percolator of the type having a scalding chamber and a coffee filter, a wall of said coffee filter substantially closing said scalding chamber at its lower portion. The wall extends from an upper peripheral rim in a conical configuration with an angle of about 8.degree. to 35.degree. to the horizontal towards a substantially centrally located outlet and comprises a support sieve and a sheet of stainless steel disposed on the upper side of the support sieve facing towards the scalding chamber. The sheet has a thickness of about 20 to 80 .mu.m and is provided with a pattern of etched micro-perforations having a diameter of about 30 to 100 .mu.m at the surface facing towards the scalding chamber. The support sieve has a thickness of about 0.5 to 3 mm and is formed with a pattern of holes having a diameter of about 1 to 5 mm.

摘要: A device and a method are described, which are used for precipitating beverage sediment from the rinsing mixture of beverage production machines and which comprise a rinsing conduit, a sediment receptacle and a filtering means. In order to design a device of this type in a structurally simple manner such that it can be serviced more easily, it is suggested that the filtering means should comprise a first and a second filter which are arranged one after the other when seen in the direction of flow of the rinsing mixture and which are each provided with filtrate discharge means and that a flow connection for the rinsing mixture discharged from the rinsing conduit and for the filter cake precipitated on the first filter should be provided, said flow connection bypassing said first filter and leading into the sediment receptacle.
