Abstract: A system for transmitting a DMR disable signal to a target mobile radio device is provided. The system includes an antenna configured to transmit and receive messages and a base station comprising at least one computing device communicatively coupled to the antenna. The at least one computing device is configured to generate a first message to be transmitted to a target mobile radio device, the first message comprising a disable signal selected from a list of non-standard operational parameters that can be implemented by the target mobile radio device, cause transmission of the first message via the antenna to the target mobile radio device, and monitor incoming messages received via the antenna for an acknowledgement message from the target mobile radio device that the target mobile radio device has been disabled.
