PRODUCTION OF MOLDINGS OR COATINGS BY REACTION OF A POLYEPOXIDE COMPOUND WITH A POLYAMINE OF THE GENERAL FORMULA:
(R1,R2-PHENYL)-CH2-NH-(CH2)3-NH2
IN WHICH R1 AND R2 MAY BE IDENTICAL OR DIFFERENT AND ARE HYDROGEN, ALKYL OF ONE TO EIGHT CARBON ATOMS, OR CYCLOALKYL OR ARYL OF UP TO TWELVE CARBON ATOMS, IN THE PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OF CONVENTIONAL ADDITIVES.

AND WHICH MAY HAVE ANOTHER BENZENE RING CONDENSED ONTO THE BENZENE RING, WHEREIN AN AROMATIC METHYLCHLOROFORMIC ACID ESTER WHICH MAY CONTAIN INERT SUBSTITUENTS AND WHICH HAS THE GENERAL FORMULA:
CH3,(CL-COO-)BENZENE
AND WHICH MAY HAVE ANOTHER BENZENE RING CONDENSED ONTO THE BENZENE RING IS FIRST CHLORINATED TO FORM A DICHLOROMETHYLCHLOROFORMIC ESTER WHICH MAY CONTAIN INERT SUBSTITUENTS, WHICH HAS THE GENERAL FORMULA:
((CL)2-CH-),(CL-COO-)BENZENE
AND WHICH MAY HAVE ANOTHER BENZENE RING CONDENSED ONTO THE VENZENE RING, AND THE RESULTANT DICHLOROMETHYLCHLOROFORMIC ESTER (III) IS THEN HYDROLYZED TO THE AROMATIC HYDROXYALDEHYDE (I).
