Abstract: The present invention relates to uses and methods for combating or controlling mosquitoes, by applying a mixture comprising alpha-cypermethrin and dinotefuran. The mixture is applied in a weight ratio of from 500:1 to 1:500 to said mosquitoes, their habitat, breeding grounds or inside or around human habitation buildings, preferably by spraying an aqueous spray solution.
