Abstract: The present application provides a virtual image display apparatus. The virtual image display apparatus includes an image source configured to produce imaging illumination; an optical relay configured to receive the imaging illumination from the image source, and configured to transmit a detection light having an aberrated wavefront representing imaging distortion in a virtual image displayed by the virtual image display apparatus; a wavefront sensor configured to receive the detection light, and configured to detect wavefront aberration information from the detection light; and a wavefront correction processor configured to receive the wavefront aberration information from the wavefront sensor, and configured to adjust in real time the imaging illumination produced by the image source to reduce the imaging distortion in real time.

Abstract: The present application relates to a head-up display apparatus, a control method thereof, and a vehicle. The head-up display apparatus comprises: an image projecting device, a display background detecting device, and a processor. The image projecting device is configured to generate an image and project the image onto a preset area on a reflective surface. The display background detecting device is configured to detect optical information of a background space that a user can see through the preset area, wherein the background space and the user are located at opposite sides of the reflective surface. The processor is configured to determine an image displaying mode of the image projecting device based on the optical information, and to control the image projecting device to project images in the determined image displaying mode.

Abstract: Glasses, a head-up display device and system, and an in-vehicle system for distortion calibration are provided, as well as a distortion correction method. The glasses include a first lens, a second lens, and a correction structure. The correction structure includes first and second standard plates and a polarizers having first and second polarization directions corresponding to the first and second lenses, respectively. The first and second standard plates are configured to enable the head-up display device to generate first and second correction images after receiving first and second distortion images of the first and second standard plates, respectively, based on the first and second distortion degrees of the first and second standard plates, respectively, and on an image to be displayed. The first polarized direction is perpendicular to the second polarized direction.

A projection of the optical module in a direction perpendicular to the first face of the display panel falls into display area of the display panel, and an area of the projection of the optical module is larger than an area of the light incident face of the camera.
