Abstract: Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include a catheter. The catheter may include an elongate shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending at least partially between the proximal end and the distal end. The shaft may include an inner layer, a reinforcing member, and an outer layer. The outer layer may include a first section positioned adjacent to the proximal end, a second section disposed distally of the first section, a third section positioned distally of the second section, and a fourth section positioned distally of the third section.
