Abstract: In a foil transfer device for transferring a transfer layer from a foil film onto a sheet laid on the foil film, the foil film is wound on a supply reel, and taken up on a take-up reel. A heating member heats the foil film, and a pressure member is provided to press the foil film and the sheet between the pressure member and the heating member. A separator changes a traveling direction of the foil film having passed through between the heating member and the pressure member into a direction different from a direction of conveyance of the sheet, to thereby separate the foil film from the sheet. A first fan blows air toward the foil film positioned between the heating member and the separator.

Abstract: A foil transfer apparatus configured to transfer foil of a foil film to a sheet includes a cover movable between a closed position and an open position, a lock mechanism capable of locking the cover at the closed position, a heating member, a pressurizing member, a temperature sensor, and a controller configured to: calculate a first lock determination temperature and a second lock determination temperature that are values obtained by respectively adding a first correction value and a second correction value that are determined based on a condition for performing a foil transfer operation to a detection temperature detected by the temperature; control the lock mechanism to lock the cover when the first lock determination temperature is not lower than a first threshold; and control the lock mechanism to unlock the cover when the second lock determination temperature is lower than a second threshold.

Abstract: A memory holder cover holds a memory holder so as to be movable with respect to the memory holder cover. An electrical contact contacts an electrical contact surface of a memory from above in a state where a cartridge is located at an attached position at which the cartridge is attached to a main housing. Abstract: A layer transfer device includes: a cover; a heat roller; a controller; temperature sensors including first and second sensors; and a locking member movable between a locking position to lock the cover to a closed position and an unlocking position to permit movement of the cover from the closed position to an open position. The first sensor measures temperature of a first member heated by a multilayer film or a sheet having been heated by the heat roller. The second sensor measures temperature of a second member heated by the heat roller. The controller determines evaluated temperatures based on temperatures measured by the temperature sensors, places the locking member in the locking position when at least one of the evaluated temperatures is not lower than a first threshold value, and places the locking member in the unlocking position when the evaluated temperatures are all lower than the first threshold value.
